Совокупность моделей, предназначенных для решения одной сложной задачи, каждая из которых описывает ту или иную сторону моделируемого объекта либо процесса на своем, соответствующем этой стороне «языке». Например, материально-вещественные аспекты отражаются в показателях натуральных объемов сырья, полуфабрикатов, продукции; финансовые аспекты — в ценностных показателях; трудовые — в трудовых. Если же модели связаны так, что результаты одних оказываются исходными данными для других и т.д. (более того, результаты решения последующих задач могут потребовать перерешения предшествующих, т.е. действуют обратные связи) до получения общего результата, то комплекс обращается в систему моделей.
